The reason we exist
The Kuaya aims to change cultural norms with respect to the acceptance of psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapeutic and coaching services as an essential faction of wellbeing in a modern Malaysia. It is designed to deliver the best of proven western methodologies for psychological wellbeing, in conjunction with renowned Asian care and warmth, recognised worldwide as setting the standard in hospitality.
We believe that in the near future, engagement with psychological health – whether to heal or enhance – will be as commonplace and acceptable as maintenance of physical wellbeing.
Our aims are:
For adults: offer tailored responses, from professional coaching to individual or couples therapy, according to need.
For children & families: create wrap-around family care, looking after the needs of the family unit in conjunction with the child.
For schools: provide training and resources to safely manage the mental health issues of their student population.
For corporates: deliver personal and professional development services in addition to responsive mental health care,
psycho-education, training and cultural realignment programmes.
For hospitals: work closely with physicians to deliver concurrent mental health support to their patients, particularly those with complex cases, chronic illnesses and life limiting diagnoses.
For clinicians and other health & care workers: offer training and supervision to develop their skills and technical abilities.
For our community: we strive to achieve standalone commercial success in order to benefit The Kuala Foundation, which will generously fund local mental health initiatives in the communities where we operate.
